State to State Automotive, formerly known as A9's Automotive, is a permanently closed auto repair shop previously located at 1332 Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn, New York. The business specialized in collision repairs and towing, often taking in vehicles that had been involved in recent accidents.

Despite offering automotive bodywork, the shop gained a notorious reputation across the Brooklyn community. Throughout 2025 and 2026, State to State Automotive became the subject of extensive investigations by local news outlets, the New York Department of Motor Vehicles, and the NYPD. Customers frequently reported that the business held their vehicles hostage for months or even over a year, demanding exorbitant storage fees and refusing to release cars despite receiving full insurance payouts. Furthermore, the shop reportedly racked up thousands of dollars in illegal parking tickets on customer vehicles by abandoning them on local streets.

Official records revealed that the shop operated with an expired license and systematically failed to provide proper work orders to patrons.
