A 2018 Mazda CX-5 owner in Boise used Service Buddy to review an $800 full maintenance quote, including spark plug replacement and fluid flushes. Service Buddy confirmed labor and fluid prices matched local rates but identified a $31.43 saving by DIY-ing engine and cabin air filter replacements. This helped the driver avoid unnecessary parts markup while ensuring proper service—answering questions like, “Is $800 too much for maintenance on a Mazda CX-5 in Boise?”

Expert Advice

Based on your original quote, the pricing for labor and fluid services aligns with standard market rates, so there’s not much advantage in seeking out a different provider for those tasks. However, you might consider a quick DIY for the engine and cabin air filters; sourcing them separately could save you some cash. Just make sure to verify any specific recommendations from your Mazda manual on filter types! If anything feels unclear, don’t hesitate to ask your mechanic for clarification.
