Analysis:
Transmission filter kits are typically $20–$50 for most vehicles, and labor should be 1–2 hours at most (usually around $100–$200 with shop rates). Unless your Jeep Grand Cherokee has an unusual or very high-cost transmission (which is rare), $517 is extremely high for this service.
This is one of those things a handy DIY’er can do at home, but even at a mechanic, you shouldn’t expect more than $200–$250.

2. Replace Sway Bar Bushings and Links

Adding spark plugs (usually $6–$12 each, and 6 or 8 total) should not add much to the labor if the intake is already off. $380 is a fair independent shop estimate. $1,339 is very high.

4. Replace Thermostat – Flush Cooling System and Refill
