Hyundai Elantra Tire Replacement

1. Tire Installation

Total: $396.08 (all-inclusive)

A. Labor: Tire Installation Package w/TPMS - $22.50

This price is very reasonable. The typical charge for mounting, balancing, and basic install ranges from $15–$25 per tire. At $22.50 total for labor, this is a great deal, suggesting either heavily discounted labor or a bundled service. Even budget chains typically charge around $15–$25 per tire.

B. Parts:

195/65R15 91H Solarus AS (4 tires): $207.96
At $51.99 per tire, this price is at the lower end of the typical $50–$100 range for these tires. As an all-season tire like the Starfire Solarus AS, this represents a fair, budget-friendly option. There is no upsell here, and some shops might charge more.

TPMS Kit (1 included)
Usually, servicing or rebuilding TPMS sensors requires a small kit, needed only if sensors require it or are failing. Since only one kit is included and the price is not broken out, there are no apparent red flags. It is important to ensure that they are not charging separately for multiple kits if only one is needed or if sensors are still good.

Scrap Tire Disposal Auto (4 tires): $22.00
This equals $5.50 per tire, which is common given current disposal regulations. Some shops charge as low as $2 per tire, but $4–$5.50 is typical.

State Tire Fee: $2.00
This is a state-mandated fee per tire and is required.

Recommendations:

• If satisfied with the tire brand and service, this is a solid, no-nonsense quote.
• Choosing a different tire brand might increase the cost but these tires are solid budget-friendly choices.
• Be cautious if someone tries to add on a wheel alignment without symptoms like uneven tire wear or handling issues, or attempts to replace all TPMS sensors “just because,” as those could be upsells.
