2013 Gmc Acadia📍 San Antonio, Texas

A San Antonio driver with a 2013 GMC Acadia used Service Buddy to evaluate a $1,400 quote for HVAC heating hose replacement—$900 for parts and $380 for labor. Service Buddy identified more affordable parts pricing and suggested alternative repairs, uncovering potential savings of several hundred dollars. This helped the driver avoid overpaying and find trusted local mechanics offering better value, answering questions like, “Is $900 for HVAC hoses on a 2013 GMC Acadia in San Antonio too expensive?”

Expert Advice

The labor cost in your quote is about what you'd expect, but the part cost for the HVAC heating hoses seems quite high. I'd recommend seeking a second opinion from another local mechanic to see if they can provide a more competitive price on those parts. Additionally, consider asking if there are simpler or less expensive fixes that might address your heating issue without a full replacement. You want to make sure you're getting the best value for your money!

Vehicle overheated and I'm being told issue is my HVAC heating hoses need replaced. Quoted around $1400- parts $900, labor $380. I'm used to Hondas so part cost is seeming high to me, but maybe not for GM? I honestly thought my issue was my thermostat but am too busy to work on the car myself, so ended up just taking it to a mechanic to diagnose.
