Auto shop owner who paid worker in 91,500 oily pennies ordered to pay nearly $40,000 more - WDEF
The owner of A OK Walker Autoworks in Peachtree City, Georgia, Miles Walker, who previously paid a former employee's final paycheck with 91,500 oil-covered pennies, has been ordered by a federal judge to pay nearly $40,000 more in unpaid overtime and damages to nine workers. This settlement resolves a civil lawsuit brought by the U.S. Labor Department, which also accused Walker of retaliating against the former employee.
