SUN INDEPENDENT AUTO REPAIR

Sun Independent Auto Repair is a trusted neighborhood mechanic located in the City Heights/Logan Heights area of San Diego, at 1645 47th Street. Under the dedicated ownership of Lawrence and his lead technician Luis, the shop has maintained a long-standing legacy of providing dealership-level expertise at independent shop prices. Originally run for over 15 years by local favorites Maurice and Lilly, the newly transitioned team has flawlessly continued the tradition of scrupulous, honest auto repair that keeps San Diego drivers coming back.

The shop specializes heavily in Japanese imports—particularly Honda, Nissan, and Infiniti—but is fully equipped to handle diagnostics and repairs for all makes and models. Their service menu includes everything from routine oil changes and brake inspections to complex engine, suspension, and transmission repairs. Notably, Sun Independent Auto Repair is also a certified installation center for both Intoxalock and LifeSafer ignition interlock devices, offering convenient, fast, and compliant setups for local drivers.

With a strong commitment to transparency, the team guarantees competitive quotes without hidden fees and backs all repairs with a solid warranty. Between their high-quality workmanship, extensive knowledge of import vehicles, and unwavering dedication to personalized customer service, Sun Independent Auto Repair stands out as a top-tier alternative to overpriced dealership service departments.
