RICKS SERVICE CENTER

Rick's Service Center is a deeply rooted, family-owned automotive repair shop located at 111 Southside Drive in Owego, New York. Since opening its doors in 1984, the center has built a stellar reputation throughout Tioga County for its honest, upfront pricing and genuine concern for driver safety. Recognized as an official car inspection station, the shop provides mandatory New York state safety and emissions inspections along with necessary on-site repairs, saving local drivers time and hassle.

The shop’s experienced technicians handle a full spectrum of vehicle maintenance and automotive repair services, catering to everything from daily commuters to 4x4s and specific models like vintage Subarus. Whether tackling routine oil changes, resolving complex suspension and control arm issues, or performing comprehensive corrosion prevention for harsh New York winters, Rick's Service Center pairs quality workmanship with unmatched mechanical expertise. They are widely regarded by locals as the go-to mechanics for stubborn diagnostics that stump other garages.

Beyond auto repair, Rick's Service Center is known as a community gathering place where friendly conversation and personalized customer service are standard. Following the passing of its beloved founder, Rick Taylor, in 2026, the shop’s legacy of excellence and community trust proudly continues under his son, Austin Taylor, who has worked at the facility for over 25 years. Drivers in Owego can consistently rely on the Taylor family for transparent, highly skilled automotive care.
