JONES GERMANTOWN AUTO SERVICE

Jones Germantown Auto Service (locally known as Jones Auto Repair) is a family-owned, independent mechanic shop located at 7595 Poplar Avenue in Germantown, Tennessee. Opened in 1972 by David Jones, the shop operated as a traditional filling station for nearly five decades before permanently removing its gas pumps in 2021. Today, David and his son, Dave Jr., focus exclusively on offering dedicated maintenance and repair for the local community, preserving their historic standing in Germantown's central business district.

Operating as a trusted neighborhood garage—lovingly called a "dinosaur" for its old-school values—Jones Germantown Auto Service provides straightforward, reliable car care. Their specialties include brakes, cooling system services, oil changes, tire patching, and general diagnostics. Locals often praise the father-and-son team for their high-integrity approach, noting that they never push unnecessary upselling and will even refer drivers to specialists for services they don't perform, such as complex transmission rebuilds.

While wait times for appointments can sometimes stretch out due to high demand, the loyal clientele agrees that the transparency and honest pricing are well worth it. From simple fluid top-offs to comprehensive brake checks, Jones Auto Repair remains a cornerstone of Germantown's automotive repair community.
