FREEMAN AUTO STORE

Freeman Auto Store (operating online at freemanautostore.com) purports to be a Bronx, New York-based supplier of used auto parts, including replacement engines, transmissions, turbochargers, electrical sensors, and suspension components. On its website, the company claims to operate out of 1271 E Bay Ave in the Hunts Point neighborhood of the Bronx, marketing tested parts to individual car owners and repair shops nationwide.

However, consumers are strongly advised to exercise extreme caution. In early 2026, an investigation by News 12's "Kane In Your Corner" and alerts from the Better Business Bureau (BBB) of Metro New York revealed that Freeman Auto Store is an alleged online scam operation. Reporters who visited the listed East Bay Avenue address found that while the property was once an auto salvage yard, it has been closed and is now an active construction site with no auto parts business operating there.

Dozens of consumers across the United States have filed complaints with the BBB Scam Tracker and state authorities after paying between $1,000 and $2,500 for replacement engines and transmissions that were never delivered. According to victim reports, representatives cease all communication and block phone numbers once payment is collected. The BBB has highlighted Freeman Auto Store as part of a growing consumer fraud trend in which fraudulent online stores hijack the addresses of former brick-and-mortar salvage yards to appear legitimate.
