AMERICAN TRANSMISSIONS

Founded in 1973 as American Transmissions, Acclaim Car & Truck Repair has evolved into Scottsdale's premier destination for vintage auto restoration and specialized mechanical repairs. What began as a pioneering transmission shop has transformed over the decades into a haven for classic car enthusiasts. The shop focuses on preserving the vehicles that built American car culture, offering expert care for 1950s–1980s classics, muscle cars, vintage 4x4s, and custom builds.

Operating out of their long-standing location on East Earll Drive, Acclaim blends old-school craftsmanship with modern technical innovation. While they are renowned for classic car restorations, engine swaps, and antique auto preservation, they continue to provide their foundational transmission expertise. From modern rebuilds and rear differential work to complex A/C upgrades and fuel injection updates, their technicians routinely handle complicated jobs that other mechanics turn away.

Under the guidance of transmission masters Ken Tully and Richard Buck, Acclaim has built a sterling reputation in the Scottsdale community. Customers consistently praise their transparent communication, deep automotive knowledge, and commitment to doing the job right the first time. Whether you need a pre-purchase inspection on a vintage dream car or a complete mechanical overhaul, Acclaim Car & Truck Repair delivers uncompromising quality and reliability.
